FACETS OF CALLING WOMEN’S CONFERENCE

Головна Про УЄТС FACETS OF CALLING WOMEN’S CONFERENCE

This month, we had the incredible privilege of hosting the “Facets of Calling” women’s conference on UETS campus! In an atmosphere of warmth, support, and deep reflection, this event was designed to inspire, strengthen faith, and open new horizons for ministry.

Women from across Ukraine gathered to gain confidence in their God-given calling, develop leadership skills rooted in biblical principles, encourage one another and share personal experiences and reclaim the belief that they can make a difference in the world.

Throughout the conference, participants reflected on the biblical story of Esther—a profound example of strength, wisdom, and faithfulness to one’s calling, even in the most challenging circumstances.

It goes without saying that the war in Ukraine, caused by Russia’s aggression, has reshaped the roles of women in profound ways. Many women have stepped into positions of leadership in the church and society—roles that were previously held primarily by men. Whether leading ministries, serving in humanitarian efforts, supporting families, or even working on the front lines, women have demonstrated extraordinary resilience, faith, and strength. This reality made our discussions at the conference even more relevant, as we explored what it means to embrace one’s calling in a time of crisis and transition.

Discussions focused on navigating a world where daily pressures often cloud our sense of purpose. Together, we explored essential topics such as:

women as a driving force in society;

the delicate balance between family, career, and ministry;

living out Christian principles in business and leadership;

supporting and empowering women-led initiatives.

One of the most deeply moving conversations centered on finding hope after loss — how to keep going when it feels like there’s nothing left, and how to embrace life with purpose even in the hardest moments. We also spoke about the responsibility of answering God’s call, even in unexpected places—whether serving on the front lines or standing beside others in their darkest hours.
The “Facets of Calling” conference brought together theologians, entrepreneurs, ministers, and leaders—women whose wisdom and experience encouraged action and inspired change:

Halyna Teslyuk  – PhD in Theology, Associate Professor of Biblical Studies at the Ukrainian Catholic University, Doctoral Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, and the Graduate Theological Union, USA.

Anna Gnatyshyna – Lecturer at Kyiv Theological Seminary, serves with OneHope, and ministers at the Bible and Life church in Kyiv.

Mariia Fedoranych  – Minister at the Church of Christ’s Transfiguration, co-founder of Svit Faith LLC, and director of Bordway LLC.

Diana Liushyna – Motivational speaker for women, active volunteer, and wife of a fallen hero.

Olena Lahovska – Director of the Women’s Leadership Development program at UETS, co-founder of the Superstar ministry for the elderly, and personal growth coach.

These few days were transformational —a time of renewal, encouragement, and rediscovery. They served as a powerful reminder that our calling is not just an abstract idea but a journey filled with bold decisions, faith, and God’s unwavering guidance.

And we believe this conference is just the beginning—of change in hearts, in ministries, and in society.
