UETS Study Sessions in February 2025

Головна Про УЄТС UETS Study Sessions in February 2025

Amidst the ongoing unjust war and the harsh winter, we continue the mission God has entrusted to us, namely training and equipping new pastors, worship leaders, youth leaders, counselors, chaplains, missionaries, etc. This month, we were thrilled to welcome students from various programs on the seminary campus.

Thus, Theology students and participants in the “Young Leaders Formation” program delved into the Old Testament, explored the art of preaching through a homiletics course, and examined how modern communication can serve both the church and society.

Their session was filled with inspiration, deep learning, meaningful conversations, and heartfelt prayer. We are grateful to every professor and student for their dedication and open hearts!

In February, students from the Family Ministry program within the Counseling Department also gathered at the seminary for their session. When asked why they chose this path, their responses were deeply moving: “Family is a space of love, care, and mutual support. But it also presents challenges that require wisdom, patience, and God’s guidance”. “Serving families is not just a profession — it’s a calling that can change lives and even entire generations.”

We rejoice to see life flourishing on campus — to see students filled with hope and resilience, committed to serving God and people despite everything. We praise the Lord for every heart devoted to Him and His mission.

In addition to the aforementioned offline programs, February saw a study session within our online short-term program for pastors, their assistants, and ministry leaders “The Church’s Mission in Wartime”. This program was designed to equip pastors, ministry leaders, and volunteers serving in wartime conditions.

The program courses address various challenges of war, aiming to reimagine ministry in the context of wartime realities; explore what the Bible teaches about evil, peace, violence, forgiveness, and love for enemies; learn from church history and discover new approaches to ministry.

Additionally, it focuses on pastoral care and crisis counseling, training ministers to support trauma survivors, divided families, soldiers, and displaced individuals. Beyond education, it serves as a platform for connection and support, fostering dialogue among ministers, volunteers, and experts to develop effective ministry approaches together.

“The Church’s Mission in Wartime” provides a space for experience-sharing and professional development. The course includes extensive discussions to identify the most effective ministry strategies in both wartime and post-war realities.
