This September, the Ukrainian Evangelical Theological Seminary (UETS) opened its 34th academic year, welcoming a new cohort of students in the Bachelor’s program Applied Theology. In a time when our nation is under relentless attack, this milestone carries a profound meaning.
Only days ago, Kyiv endured another wave of deadly missile strikes. The war continues to bring destruction, grief, and uncertainty. And yet, in the midst of sirens and shelters, UETS remains faithful to its mission: to provide high-quality, accredited theological education and to equip men and women for ministry in the Church and in society.

We are deeply grateful to God for the privilege of shaping a new generation of leaders—pastors, ministry leaders, chaplains, and Christian counselors—who are urgently needed in Ukraine today. Their calling is not only to serve the Church, but also to bring healing, resilience, and hope to a wounded nation.
UETS is one of the few institutions in Ukraine that offers theological education with a state license and accreditation. This recognition strengthens our role as a center where academic excellence and spiritual formation meet. But beyond formal recognition, what drives us forward is our faith: faith in Christ, faith in the power of the Gospel, and faith in the future of Ukraine.

As we begin this new academic year, we invite you—our friends and partners—to stand with us. Your prayers and support enable us to continue the work of equipping leaders for such a time as this. Together, we believe that God is writing a story of hope and restoration in Ukraine, even in the darkest of days.
