Kyiv, Ukraine – The Ukrainian Evangelical Theological Seminary (UETS) recently hosted the annual Team for Mission Conference, gathering 34 youth teams from 17 cities, including participants from frontline and conflict-affected areas. The event brought together approximately 200 young leaders from various churches to learn practical strategies and spiritual principles for outreach and discipleship.
The conference took place directly on the UETS campus, emphasizing the Seminary’s role in equipping the next generation of Christian leaders. Entire teams traveled to participate, reflecting both the reach of the Seminary and its capacity to foster collaborative learning in a safe and structured environment. UETS’s accredited programs and licensed theological courses provide the foundational training for ministry, including leadership roles and chaplaincy — a pathway that is increasingly vital as soldiers return home and communities rebuild.
Practical and Spiritual Growth for Youth Teams
During the conference, participants received hands-on training and mentoring on outreach strategies for teens and young adults. The program combined spiritual teaching, workshops, and practical exercises, helping youth understand how to share their faith in contemporary settings. Teams also explored methods to disciple and guide new believers, cultivating holistic spiritual and leadership skills.
Even in frontline communities, young people are learning to be resilient, compassionate, and responsible. This is a strategic investment in Ukraine’s future, ensuring that the next generation is ready to lead healthy churches, strong families, and engaged communities.
Worship and Fellowship Across Regions
Each day concluded with inspiring worship sessions led by youth worship groups from across the country, uniting participants in praise and prayer. These moments strengthened community bonds, fostered spiritual encouragement, and highlighted the shared mission of serving both God and society in challenging circumstances.
Looking Ahead: Building Leaders for Ukraine
The “Team for Mission” conference is more than an event. It is a part of UETS’s ongoing commitment to training, mentoring, and equipping youth for long-term leadership. By combining theological education, practical ministry skills, and peer collaboration, the Seminary is preparing young leaders who will guide Ukraine in rebuilding spiritually, socially, and culturally.
UETS continues to serve as a national hub for developing faithful, skilled, and resilient leaders, ensuring that the Church can respond effectively to current challenges and future needs.
