The Ukrainian Evangelical Theological Seminary (UETS) is honored to announce a significant milestone in its mission to serve Ukraine through theological education and leadership development. As of June 20, 2025, UETS has received official government licensing to launch its first Master’s degree program under the authorization of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
This development comes at a time when Ukraine faces the most profound challenges in its modern history. The ongoing war has not only devastated cities and families but has also deeply affected the moral, emotional, and spiritual fabric of the nation. Communities are fractured. Millions are displaced. Churches are called to be sanctuaries of hope, healing, and restoration in the midst of unimaginable pain.
The war in Ukraine has revealed the urgent need for resilient, compassionate, and biblically grounded leaders who can serve their communities with wisdom, integrity, and courage. The demand for such leaders stretches far beyond the walls of the church—into schools, hospitals, humanitarian organizations, and public institutions.
The new Master’s in Transformational Leadership Theology is designed to:
-
Provide state-recognized academic credentials, opening opportunities for graduates to serve as chaplains, educators, civic leaders, and nonprofit managers.
-
Offer European-accredited theological education, enabling international study and fostering global partnerships.
-
Equip students with a unique blend of theological depth, leadership skills, and practical tools for ministry and community transformation in the face of crisis.
A Program Built for Today’s Realities
This master’s program responds directly to the current landscape of trauma, displacement, and social upheaval. Students will:
-
Explore biblical models of leadership and spiritual formation.
-
Learn to care for broken communities and individuals, including trauma recovery and reconciliation.
-
Gain tools for leading churches, ministries, and organizations in contexts of uncertainty and rebuilding.
It is a program created not just for academic enrichment but for practical, life-giving impact in the real-world challenges facing Ukraine today.
UETS Impact: A Track Record of Service
Throughout the past three years of full-scale war, UETS has remained at the forefront of equipping Christian leaders who serve on the frontlines of both physical and spiritual battle:
-
Pastors and chaplains ministering in conflict zones.
-
Psychological support and trauma counseling for displaced families.
-
Training for volunteers, church leaders, and caregivers across Ukraine.
This new program builds on that foundation, offering leaders not only the heart to serve but the knowledge and credentials to do so in broader professional spheres.
An Invitation to Partners: Building Hope Together
UETS invites its partners, donors, and friends to stand with us in this critical season. Your support allows us to:
-
Expand access to high-quality theological education.
-
Develop faculty and new curricula that respond to wartime realities.
-
Foster international collaboration and knowledge exchange.
Together, we can ensure that the Ukrainian church is not only a place of refuge but a force for national healing, moral leadership, and social transformation.
In times of war, education is an act of hope. Leadership is an act of faith. We invite you to join us in raising up a new generation of Christian leaders who will help rebuild Ukraine with wisdom, compassion, and unshakable faith.
Equipping leaders for today. Empowering hope for tomorrow.
