Young Leaders Arise Amid War

Головна Про УЄТС Young Leaders Arise Amid War

Last week, despite the ongoing war in Ukraine caused by Russia’s full-scale invasion, the students of the Young Leaders Development Program immersed themselves in a week of intensive leadership training and practice.

In this challenging time for our country, UETS remains committed to developing and supporting young church leaders. We aim to equip them in key areas: deepening their understanding of the biblical narrative, learning sound principles of interpretation, and effectively communicating the values of Scripture. In addition, students are trained in developing ministries that respond to the needs of their specific context, while growing their leadership capacity—especially in the area of team dynamics.

This recent session combined in-depth workshops on youth ministry development and organization with active participation in the large-scale Team for Mission conference.

What did the students take away from this experience?

A deeper understanding that effective ministry requires not only a clear vision but also a strong, united team; core principles for building teams of equal, servant-hearted leaders; practical tools for motivating youth and fostering their spiritual formation.

The Team for Mission conference proved to be a powerful complement to our academic program. Alongside seasoned speakers like Radislav Tatsun, Olha Kondyuk, Nazar Savchuk, Ihor Sereda, and others, we explored topics such as leadership thinking, the role of the leader within a team, and the foundations of motivation and spiritual growth.

In spite of the war that continues to threaten and disrupt everyday life, this session was both inspirational and intensely practical. We are grateful to everyone who contributed and participated. We look forward to the next gathering, where we will continue to train and send out leaders for a nation in need of hope and restoration.
