In March, within the walls of our seminary, we had the joy of welcoming students for sessions in Theology, Missiology, and Worship programs.
The students of the Worship Program attended two courses: Vocal Excellence in Worship and Worship and Leadership.
We are thrilled to witness how the students in the Vocal Excellence in Worship course—who are already serving as worship vocalists in their churches—learn to sing with greater freedom and confidence. Despite the difficult circumstances in which they study and serve—marked by loss, pain, and ongoing drone attacks due to the war—they remain steadfast in their calling. Music has the power to bring healing to the wounds of our people, offering hope and restoration in the midst of suffering.
During these past couple of weeks, the students have been enhancing their performance skills through a deeper understanding of vocal and respiratory techniques while also improving their music literacy. They are also learning to articulate their thoughts concisely for short speeches during musical worship on stage, integrating their ministry into a broader understanding and practice of spiritual disciplines.

UETS also held the second session of the Worship and Leadership program. Calling it just a “session” doesn’t quite capture its depth – it was such an incredibly inspiring time! This group consists of young, talented musician-vocalist ministers.
What strikes the most about these students is how deeply they have bonded, becoming like family, and how earnestly they seek and treasure time spent in communion with God. Not a single evening passed without spontaneous prayers and worship, initiated by the students themselves! There was even a morning dedicated to quiet time with God, also entirely student-led – a time of solitude and prayer amidst God’s breathtaking creation: the forest, the lake, the beauty of nature, all reminding us of the One who is the Creator and Sovereign over all things.
