Informal Education

Recognizing the importance of ongoing training for church and ministry leaders, the Ukrainian Evangelical Theological Seminary regularly organizes events such as annual conferences, seminars, workshops, pastoral consultations, and retreats. These initiatives are designed to encourage and equip those who serve others.

Informal Education

Conferences

The core of UETS informal education consists of four major annual conferences: the Leadership Conference for church and ministry leaders; the Worship and Leadership Conference for worship leaders; the Soul and Word Conference for Christian therapists, lay counselors, and mental health professionals; and the Facets of Calling Women’s Conference.

During these events, hundreds of participants from across Ukraine receive practical training, mentoring, and encouragement for their ongoing ministry. They are strengthened through meaningful fellowship and networking, gain valuable insights, build new connections, and experience rest within a warm and supportive community.

Seminars and Workshops

In addition to its conferences, UETS offers both on- and off-campus seminars and workshops to equip local churches and ministries. These initiatives address various aspects of ministry, including church administration and communication, trauma-healing, community outreach, and ministry to people with disabilities.

Pastoral Consultations

UETS regularly organizes pastoral consultations to address various aspects of ministry, including church planting and multiplication. These events, sometimes held in collaboration with partners such as Asbury Theological Seminary (USA), bring together dozens of church leaders from across Ukraine.

This format responds to a deep need among pastors: it offers an opportunity for informal interaction, space for honest questions, meaningful conversations, and sincere prayer. It also creates an environment where participants can be themselves and openly share the realities of their ministry.

Chaplaincy and Leadership Retreats

In recent years, one of the key dimensions of the seminary’s ministry has been chaplaincy gatherings and retreats. Given the significant physical, emotional, and spiritual burdens that army chaplains carry, these gatherings provide much-needed opportunities for refreshment, encouragement, and the sharing of experiences.

In addition, recognizing the importance of physical rest and emotional and spiritual renewal, UETS also organizes retreats for its faculty and staff. Such care is especially vital amid the stresses and losses brought about by wartime.
