Dear friends and partners of UETS,
Christ is risen!
Let me sincerely greet you this Easter season. At a time when so much around us speaks of loss and uncertainty, the resurrection reminds us that God has not stepped away. In fact, He has already overcome death and evil. It is He who brings life out of death, light out of darkness, and hope out of despair.
Here in Ukraine, as we continue to live with the realities of war, each of us has been touched by suffering in different ways. Yet even in this, we see signs of God’s presence. The risen Lord meets us in our grief and sustains us with the promise of restoration. For this reason, the words of Scripture feel especially close to us: “He is not here; He has risen!” (Luke 24:6).
In classrooms, churches, bomb shelters, and even in trenches, the message of Easter continues to shape lives, calling us to persevere, serve, and trust in God’s purposes. We witness daily the quiet strength of faith, the courage, and the enduring hope in our students, graduates, churches, and communities.
Thank you for standing with us. Your prayers, messages, and support mean more than we can express. They remind us that we are not alone and encourage us as we continue equipping leaders who will carry the light of Christ into this wounded world.
We look ahead with confidence, trusting that the same power that raised Christ from the dead gives us hope for restoration, renewal, and new life.
May the joy and peace fill your hearts this Easter.
With gratitude and hope,
Dr. Ivan Rusyn
