On March 31, 2026, the Board of the Ukrainian Evangelical Theological Seminary held its regular meeting under the chairmanship of Senior Pastor Petro Kovalenko. During the meeting, the board reviewed the seminary’s results for the first half of the 2025–2026 academic year and discussed key issues related to its further development.
An important part of the meeting was the introduction of a new Board member, Oleh Kizimenko, who was appointed by unanimous decision. He serves as Senior Pastor of the Ukrainian Evangelical Church in the Kyiv region, holds a master’s degree in organizational management, and is an Honored Builder of Ukraine.
During the meeting, the president of the Ukrainian Evangelical Theological Seminary, Ivan Rusyn, presented a report on the seminary’s activities for the first half of the 2025–2026 academic year.
The report highlighted the main achievements of the UETS, including the successful implementation of the educational process in conditions of full-scale war, state licensing of three levels of higher education, the launch of the doctoral program “Public Theology” in cooperation with the Odessa Theological Seminary and the East European Institute of Theology, the development of the academic campus, as well as the expansion of international partnerships, in particular with higher education institutions in the United States of America.
The Board members gave special attention to planning the committees’ work for the next six months. They outlined priority initiatives aimed at further strengthening the seminary’s institutional capacity and advancing its educational, scientific, and infrastructural potential.
The meeting of the Board was an important step in implementing the strategic vision of the UETS as a higher spiritual educational institution called to serve the Church and promote the transformation of society based on the values of the Gospel.
