On February 1-2, a training on Defeating Trauma was held on the UETS campus.
It was an initiative realized in partnership with MH-Care, East European Institute of Theology, NGO Novyi Podyh (New Breath), Overseas Council-United World Mission, and ScholarLeaders International.
This training was an attempt to start a dialogue on how to serve people who have been physically injured and mentally traumatized as a result of Russia’s daily war crimes on Ukraine’s territories.
Through our discussions, we searched for ways to support people who have lost limbs; tried to figure out how to become a community that brings hope during and after the war.
This event was a valuable time of searching, communicating, and diving into the context, which has become a painful reality for so many Ukrainians.
