UETS Program in Counseling Gets Government Licensing

We are happy to share with you that the Ukrainian Evangelical Theological Seminary has successfully completed the licensing process for its Counseling Program.

This is our second program, in addition to the Applied Theology Program, which was licensed earlier this year, that is formally recognized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

On the one hand, it is important in terms of upholding the highest standards of educational quality and professional readiness. This achievement not only strengthens our programs but also enables us to provide our students with a strong foundation, along with credentials that align with national professional standards.

Our goal is to empower our graduates to serve effectively in diverse settings, equipped with the knowledge, skills, and state-recognized certifications needed to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond.

On the other hand, the receiving by our students of a state-recognized diploma must open up greater opportunities to serve both the church and society. Our seminary is privileged to nurture qualified professionals, as well as expand our reach and mission through public accreditation.

As far as our Practical Counseling program is concerned, it combines biblical teaching with evidence-based psychology, equipping students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills through the lens of a biblical worldview.

As a matter of fact, considering the rapidly increasing number of war-victims, there is a significant need in Ukraine for Christians who can provide professional assistance in pastoral care, counseling, and trauma healing, especially at this challenging time.

We are grateful to God for being able to live and minister in the country which is one of the most open countries in the world in terms of religious freedom. Considering the role of Christians amid the ongoing war, Ukraine is ripe for church growth, which, in turn, translates into the greater need of well-trained and equipped ministers.

Pray please so that Ukrainian Christians can continue enjoying this freedom currently threatened by the aggression of the Russian Federation which, prosecuting Christians in the occupied territories, is intolerable to any religious diversity.
